| <>ROCHESTER, NY, June 18, 2006 -- Rochester’s own acclaimed sacred steel
band The Campbell Brothers continue to break new ground and gain new
fans by delivering blistering performances to rapt audiences around the
world.
"The
Campbell Brothers are more than just a band playing songs, they are a
growing community of people who come to their shows to share the fun
and joy, time and time again" said Gordy Carlson, music
promoter for the Oct 13th 2006 Rochester Harmony Festival at
Water Street Music Hall. "We look forward
to their performance and our other great Rochester bands featured that night."
The Campbell
Brother’s 2006 tour has already taken them to France, Finland,
Spain, Canada,
and dozens of domestic performances across the country.
A recent
performance to a large audience at Carnegie Hall in New York City had
the normally reserved Carnegie Hall patrons dancing in the aisles by
the third song. “This is truly a special night for the Campbell’s, to
bring their unique music to this historical and unique venue. This stage has such a long history of great
performers. We are honored to be invited to play here” said Rob Mann,
manager for the Campbell Brothers.
The Campbell
Brothers most recent CD release “Can You Feel It” continues it’s
growing success as new fans discover their blend of gospel and blues
delivered with the soaring instrumentation of Chuck and Darick
Campbell’s steel guitars, backed by the solid driving rhythms of Phil
Campbell on electric guitar, Carlton Campbell on drums, and Malcolm
Kirby on bass. Denise Brown and Katie
Jackson bring the crowds to added frenzy with their powerful vocals of
passion and joy.
