Against the Grain is a techno-rock shock group with a very unique sound. They can be described as influenced by Depeche Mode, Frank Zappa, and Lou Reed. They began in 1983 with a couple of cheap synthesizers, a cheezy drum machine, and a 12 pack of Rolling Rock. They have recorded over 50 songs of varying consistency and quality. Against The Grain officially disbanded in 1995 and now only records in complete secrecy at undisclosed locations under assumed names. Here are examples of their work.
